Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the PetDub Live iOS app and the petdub.live website (together, the "Service"), operated by PetDub Live's founder [legal entity name to be confirmed]. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What PetDub Live Is

PetDub Live is an entertainment app that uses your phone's camera to detect your cat or dog and generate a short, AI-voiced, in-character line of dialogue reacting to what your pet is doing, shown with a simple on-screen overlay. Currently supported: cats and dogs only.

PetDub Live is entertainment only. It is not veterinary, medical, or behavioral advice, and nothing the app generates should be treated as an assessment of your pet's health, injury, or behavior. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any health or behavior concern.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you're using it on behalf of a minor as a parent or guardian, you're responsible for that use.

3. Your Content and Your Pet's Likeness

You're responsible for what you point the camera at, and for having the right to do so (for example, filming your own pet, somewhere you're allowed to film). Clips you create and choose to share are yours; PetDub Live doesn't claim ownership over them. Don't use the Service to depict real people without their consent, or in a way intended to harass, defame, or mislead.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

• Free tier: a limited number of sessions per day (currently 3), resetting daily.
• Paid subscriptions unlock unlimited sessions and are billed and managed entirely through your Apple ID, via Apple's In-App Purchase system.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own refund policies; we don't process payments or refunds directly.
• Pricing and included tiers may change; we'll show any new pricing before it applies to you.

5. Acceptable Use

Don't try to bypass the free-session limit, the moderation/safety layer, or the subscription paywall. Don't use the Service for anything illegal, or to generate, or attempt to generate, content involving cruelty to animals, real medical/health claims, or harassment of any person. We may filter, decline to generate, or fall back to a generic response for any session, at our discretion, to keep the experience safe and in character.

6. Service Availability & Changes

We're a small, fast-moving team (currently a solo developer). Features, pricing, and availability may change, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the Service. We'll try to give notice for anything major affecting paying subscribers.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." Pet detection and the on-screen overlay rely on on-device tracking that may not work perfectly for every pet, lighting condition, or environment. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. As stated in Section 1, nothing generated by the Service is health, medical, or behavioral advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetDub Live won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, if any.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You can stop using the Service, and cancel any subscription, at any time.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service develops. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and give notice in the app for material changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
